Have you been curious about Mahjong but aren’t sure where to begin? This lesson is the perfect first step!
We’ll take the mystery out of the game and walk through the basics in a relaxed environment. No experience needed — just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
During Mahjong Basics 101, you’ll learn:
✨ What all those tiles mean (and how to tell them apart!)
✨ How the NMJL card works and how to read it
✨ The basics of building a hand
✨ How to play: drawing, discarding, and calling tiles
✨ How the Charleston works
✨ The flow of a game from start to finish
You’ll get hands-on practice, plenty of guidance, and a chance to start building confidence before joining a table on your own.

? Monday — July 20 3pm-6pm
⏰ 3-hour sessions

? $55 per person — 2026 NMJL card included to take home
