Mud Lotus is a Creative Movement & Wellbeing Programme for tamariki and rangatahi aged 5–18.

Through creative movement, dance, mindfulness, and group activities, participants can explore who they are, build confidence, express themselves, and connect with others in a safe and welcoming environment.

🥋Discover the spirit of Japanese budo through kendo!

In this fun and energetic session, children will experience the basic movements of kendo, use their voices, and enjoy moving their bodies together.

We’ll also explore some of the values behind budo — respect for others, gratitude, courage, and the importance of challenging yourself.

These values are not only for kendo. They can help children build confidence and grow in both mind and body in everyday life.

No previous kendo experience is needed. This session is designed to be fun and accessible for children.
