Sekai Souchi Performance
“Listening to a Planetary Activist”
I sit on a park bench.
I tilt my head about 30 degrees
to slightly shift my vestibular system.
Then, using this newfound sense of balance and spatial awareness,
I scientifically examine
the sway of the swing, the angle of the slide, and the marks in the sandbox.
I stand on my head, look down, and gaze up at the sky.
I whistle and pretend to be out for a walk, communicating with the universe.
That is what a planetary activist is.
