Carnegie-Stout Public Library will show the movie "Fahrenheit 451" on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission to this special matinee is free, and the first 100 attendees will enjoy free boxes of Dubuque's tastiest popcorn!Based on Ray Bradbury’s 1953 novel, "Fahrenheit 451" (1966) is a dystopian drama about a brutal totalitarian society in which books are banned and burned by firefighters. The movie is directed by François Truffaut and stars Julie Christie, Oskar Werner, and Cyril Cusack.
