Celebrate 120 years of the Newport Transporter Bridge and ‘World Rivers Day’ and discovering two ‘Feets’ of Engineering by following in French engineer Ferdinand Arnodin’s footsteps with this 7-mile (approx.)walk starting at the fabulous Newport Wetlands and taking in the ‘Cathedral of the Moors’ St Mary’s in Nash, taking in the Gwent Levels and along the newly upgraded Wales Coast Path on the Bridge’s East side, where you can learn about our current Lottery Funded restoration project.. Access allowing, this linear walk finishes with a rare chance to experience the brand new Visitor Centre. Transport will be provided to take you back to the car park at Newport Wetlands.
