Almost Klezmer is the acoustic duo of Michael on guitar and Marina on pan flute, with vocal harmonies woven throughout their performances. Together, they bring traditional klezmer and Balkan repertoire, alongside original compositions, into a finely crafted acoustic setting. Their eclectic performances are driven by rich guitar rhythms and cantorial expression, with playful touches of Egyptian film music and unexpected excursions into calypso and American standards. Drawing on Marina's roots in Sarajevo and Michael's wide-ranging musical background, M&M create a rich, full sound shaped entirely by the live interplay between two musicians on stage.
