Возвращение имен - ежегодная акция памяти жертв советского террора. 29 октября люди по всему миру собираются, чтобы вслух прочесть имена расстрелянных и репрессированных советским государством, - и увидеть друг друга. В 2025 году Возвращение имен прошло в 150 городах.Смысл акции - вернуть из забвения человеческие имена и истории, стоящие за масштабом государственного террора, и сохранить память о его жертвах. А также, вспомнить текущих политических заключенных, незаконно осужденных за антивоенные взгляды, подваргающихся насилию и репрессиям в современной России.

"Returning the Names" is an annual commemorative event honoring the victims of Soviet terror. On October 29, people around the world gather to read aloud the names of those executed or repressed by the Soviet state - and to see one another. In 2025, "Returning the Names" took place in 150 cities.
The purpose of the event is to rescue from oblivion the individual names and personal stories that lie behind the vast scale of state terror, and to preserve the memory of its victims. It also serves to remember current political prisoners - those unjustly convicted for their anti-war views and subjected to violence and repression in nowadays Russia.
