Not all classrooms have four walls! Join homeschool families from across the metro during the Kansas City Zoo
& Aquarium’s Homeschool Days.
Homeschool families will receive discounted tickets and meet other homeschool families all while learning from animal experts at our animal chats and experiences. It’s a roaring good time!
Homeschool rate is available on specific days only. Homeschool rates require advance purchase online only at kansascityzoo.org/homeschool.
Homeschool rate is not available at the gate. Homeschool tickets will be valid April 20-22, 2026, and October 5-7, 2026. Homeschool activities are offered on April 20, 2026, and October 5, 2026, only. Tickets are non-refundable. Unused Homeschool tickets will be valid for future Homeschool dates. Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium is rain or shine. Homeschool families with FOTZ memberships are invited to participate in the Homeschool Meet-Up.Get your tickets at kansascityzoo.org/homeschool
What's Included:
• Discount admission to the Zoo.
• Meet-Up with homeschool families at the Tropics Event Pavilion from 11am-1pm.
Featured in the Meet-Up will be our Conservation Corner, where students can learn about the Kansas City
Zoo & Aquarium’s Conservation Projects which support our environment and animals around the globe.
Zoo educators will facilitate encounters that include biofacts about various animals. These encounters are
designed to be “touch and go.” Please plan on attending our more in-depth animal chats throughout your
day. Plus, grab a scavenger hunt to help you make the most of your Zoo learning experience.
• You are welcome to bring your own food and beverage. Please do not bring glass containers or alcoholic
beverages. Please follow the Zoo’s cooler/ice chest policy.
• Learn about our onsite restaurants at kansascityzoo.org/visit/dining
• Homeschool events are independent study. Plan your day: kansascityzoo.org/daily-schedule
