About this Event
Join us for a relaxed evening looking at photobooks, zines and ways of bringing photographs together.
We’ll look through a selection of photobooks and zines, chat about what makes them interesting, and explore how sequencing images can change the way a set of photographs works together.
There’ll also be a chance to have a go at making a simple zine, using photographs and basic layouts to start putting your own ideas together.
Once you’ve booked, we ask you to email 10 - 12 images to the darkroom to work with during the session. These can be photographs you’ve already made, a recent project, or simply a selection of images you’d like to experiment with. Please do include your name as the file name so we can link them to you.
The evening is also a chance to be thinking about your images for the Blackpool Community Darkroom 2026 Zine.
Email: [email protected] Ticket sales will close at 10pm on 20th October to allow for prep time. Please submit images by noon on the 21st October.
This session is in our upstairs workshop space. We have a lift! Otherwise it is fourteen steps turn a corner and two more steps. There is an accessible loo on the same floor.
