About this Event
Zine-Making Workshop for M/others & Babies
Monday 16th March | 12–2pm 📍 Glasgow Zine Library
Come along and join us for a relaxed and welcoming zine-making workshop to coincide alongside the M/otherhood exhibition held just next door in our gallery space.
This workshop is designed to be a chilled environment where you can make, reflect and connect — with your baby by your side. Feeding, changing, soothing, wriggling and noise are all completely welcome. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Facilitated by artist and new mother Holly Meiklejohn, alongside her 6-month old assistant Aurora, and volunteers from the SaltSpace Committee, we’ll create handmade zines exploring experiences of m/otherhood — the tender, messy, joyful, exhausting transition into this new role. No previous art experience is needed; all materials will be provided.
This event is free, but ticketed so please make sure to get your ticket soon as space is limited. If you can no longer attend the event, please let us know to allow another m/other to join.
We can’t wait to create with you!
