About this Event
The holiday season brings plenty of celebration—and plenty of waste. Americans generate about 25% more waste during the holidays, with food waste, packaging, single-use plastics, and gift wrapping all contributing to the seasonal surge.
Join TPSS Co-op for a 90-minute workshop with Stephanie Miller, founder of Zero Waste in DC, to take a closer look at the waste created by our holiday traditions and what to do about it. Participants will leave with practical ideas for reducing waste during the holiday season.
Stephanie brings extensive experience in climate and waste issues, along with her work helping individuals and communities understand the waste crisis. The workshop will include presentation, discussion, and a hands-on opportunity to explore materials and rethink some familiar holiday practices.
The event is free and open to all, but please register due to space constraints.
We will meet in the Azalea Room!
