Jak lépe oslavit blížící se konec sezony než zásobením se kouskem naděje, který se ukrývá v každém semínku?
Večer věnovaný semínkům zahájíme křtem nově vzniklé komunitní semínkové knihovny. Knihovna vůbec poprvé nabídne také možnost swapu semínek – přineste semínka, která můžete postrádat, a odneste si na oplátku něco nového do svého zahradnického repertoáru.
Následovat bude projekce dokumentárního filmu The Seeds of Vandana Shiva, který vypráví pozoruhodný životní příběh indické vědkyně, ekologické aktivistky a ochránkyně biodiverzity Vandany Shivy. Film sleduje její cestu od vědy k aktivismu a její dlouholetý zápas za svobodu osiva, biodiverzitu a ekologické zemědělství v opozici vůči rostoucí moci velkých agrochemických společností. Její příběh otevírá otázky, které se týkají nás všech, ač se tak nemusí zdát: Kdo vlastní semínka? Kdo rozhoduje o budoucnosti potravin? A jakou roli v tom můžeme hrát my sami?

What better way to celebrate the approaching end of the season than by stocking up on a little bit of hope, which lies hidden in every seed?
We’ll kick off this evening dedicated to seeds with the launch of the newly established community seed library. For the very first time, the library will also offer a seed swap – bring along any seeds you can spare and take home something new to add to your gardening repertoire.
This will be followed by a screening of the documentary film *The Seeds of Vandana Shiva*, which tells the remarkable life story of the Indian scientist, environmental activist and biodiversity conservationist Vandana Shiva. The film traces her journey from science to activism and her long-standing struggle for seed freedom, biodiversity and organic farming in the face of the growing power of large agrochemical companies. Her story raises questions that concern us all, even if they may not seem to at first glance: Who owns the seeds? Who decides the future of food? And what role can we ourselves play in this?
