Event Information
A Canadian folk and country songwriter originally from Saskatoon and now based in Orillia, Ontario, Zachary Lucky is unapologetically old-school country, armed with a husky, baritone voice. The grandson of country legend Smilin’ Johnnie Lucky, he began his career in pop bands before launching a solo career in 2009. Known for his relentless touring and authentic storytelling, Zachary has become a standout artist from Saskatchewan’s vibrant roots scene alongside peers like Colter Wall. He credits the prairie landscape and its people for shaping his music’s spirit. Zachary often receives comparisons to songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Kris Kristofferson. He sings of Canadian places and people as knowingly as he might Townes Van Zandt or the Rio Grande. It's a relatable show on many levels, and conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines. Already hailed as a master storyteller by outlets ranging from No Depression to The Globe and Mail, Zachary is becoming a legend in his own right and has safely reserved his spot at the table of Canadian roots royalty. Since his 2010 debut Come and Gone, he has released four more albums, including Saskatchewan, The Ballad of Losing You, Midwestern (2023), and The Wind (2024). Earlier this year he added to that discography with the release of The Lost River Sessions (Feb 27, 2026 on Wroxton Recordings).

Ben Somer is a North American original, pulling influences from the greats that came before, but wholly responsible for creating his own imaginative world. Ben has a strong sense of the song, a gift for songwriting that brings to mind the legacy of Cash or Dylan, a songwriter who can shine a light on the harder humanities without losing sight of our hopefulness. Produced by acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Jerry Leger, Ben's 2022 album, Ben Somer & the Cold Winter, taps folk and Americana influences. The album's lead single, "Back When", features Somer's backing band the Cold Winter with Dan Edmonds on keys, Jimmy Hayes on guitar, Adam Melnick on bass, and Matt Burns on drums.
