Wrap up warm and celebrate the festive season as the Ystrad Mynach Christmas Market comes to town on Saturday 5th December 2026!The Ystrad Mynach Christmas Market will give you an opportunity to do some Christmas shopping with a fantastic selection of food and craft stalls, which will run through the length of the town selling beautiful gifts from Christmas decorations and jewellery to tasty bakes and traditional festive treats.
A few small children’s funfair rides will be dotted around the town, with a feast of festive characters roaming the event site to keep the whole family entertained. A community stage with festive performances from local schools, choirs, bands and singers will also help to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
As well as the stalls and entertainment, there’s a great range of independent town centre shops that the town has to offer. Grab your shopping bags and come along to join in the festive fun from 9am until 5pm!
The fair is also host to the magical Music and Light Santa Hat Parade at 4:15pm Gelligaer Community Council Christmas Light Switch on at 4:45pm.
Why not visit our FREE Ystrad Mynach Lantern Making Workshops to make your own lantern for the parade! The workshops will take place from 10am until 4pm at Siloh Christian Centre (CF82 7AF) on the following dates:
• Saturday 28th November
• Saturday 5th December
This event is completely FREE to attend!

Bydd y ffair yn rhoi cyfle i wneud eich siopa Nadolig, gyda detholiad arbennig o stondinau bwyd a chrefft, a fydd wedi’u gosod ar hyd y dref ac yn gwerthu anrhegion hardd, o addurniadau Nadolig a gemwaith i fwyd pob blasus a danteithion Nadoligaidd traddodiadol.
Bydd ychydig o reidiau ffair i blant bach ar hyd a lled canol y dref, yn ogystal â gwledd o gymeriadau Nadoligaidd yn crwydro safle'r digwyddiad i ddiddanu'r teulu cyfan. Bydd yna hefyd lwyfan cymunedol gyda pherfformiadau Nadoligaidd gan ysgolion, corau, bandiau a chantorion lleol yn helpu cael pawb yn ysbryd y Nadolig.
Yn ogystal â'r stondinau a’r adloniant, mae gan y dref ystod wych o siopau canol tref annibynnol. Cydiwch yn eich bagiau siopa chi a dewch draw i ymuno yn yr hwyl Nadoligaidd rhwng 9am a 5pm!
Bydd y ffair hefyd yn cynnal Gorymdaith Lusernau Hetiau Siôn Corn Cerddoriaeth a Goleuni am 4:15pm a seremoni Cynnau Goleuadau Nadolig hudolus Cyngor Cymuned Gelli-gaer am 4:45pm.
I wneud llusern ar gyfer yr orymdaith, beth am ymweld â’r gweithdai gwneud llusernau AM DDIM. Bydd y gweithdai yn cael eu cynnal rhwng 10am a 4pm yng Nghanolfan Gristnogol Siloh (CF82 7AF) ar y ddyddiadau:
