You don't network your way in, you play your way in.

YouthTV is teaming up with Laser World Bedford to bring you a fresh spin on YouthTV Connect, and this time it starts with a game.

YouthTV Connect brings young entrepreneurs, creatives and business owners together with established local professionals for an evening built around real mentorship, not small talk over a glass of orange juice. Earlier editions ran on keynotes and panels. This time, the conversations start over laser tag.

On the night, attendees split into groups and take turns on the laser tag course, with professionals playing alongside younger attendees rather than watching from the side. While one group plays, the other spends that time networking, starting with table-facilitated discussion and one-to-one conversations before moving into speed networking. Partway through, the groups swap, so everyone gets a turn at laser tag and proper time to learn from the professionals in the room.

Whether you're just starting out or you've got years of experience to share, this is a chance to build genuine connections in a setting that doesn't feel like a formal networking event. Work and building something of your own can be relentless, so this is also a good excuse to take an evening for yourself, have a laugh, and recharge while you're at it.

What to expect:

• Laser tag sessions played in mixed teams with industry professionals, working together and building strategy as a team
• Table-facilitated discussion, one-to-one conversations and speed networking
• Drinks and snacks throughout
• A room full of young entrepreneurs, creatives and established professionals, all in one evening

Things to know before you book:

• Please wear flat shoes for the laser tag sessions.
• For safety reasons, laser tag cannot be played by anyone with high blood pressure, heart problems, neck or back problems, epilepsy, or anyone pregnant or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Limited parking is available at the venue. Melbourne Street Car Park, Melbourne Street, Bedford MK42 9AN, is just across the road and charges may apply.

Strictly 16+. Due to the nature of the laser tag activity, attendees under 18 will need a parent or guardian consent form completed before the event.
