Youth Studio Weekly Movie Makers ClubThis weekly club is designed for creative kids ages 8-11 who love making up stories, dressing up in costumes, acting, and bringing their imaginations to life on screen.
Unlike our traditional filmmaking classes and camps, Movie Makers Club is less focused on structured lessons and more focused on child-led creativity. Created for those students who have already participated in at least one filmmaking program and who already know the basics of moviemaking, this club gives them a chance to take the lead in creating their own stories, characters, and movies.
Each week, club members will create and star in original movies inspired by exciting themes such as:
🕵️ Mystery & Detective Stories
🚀 Sci-Fi Missions & Alien Encounters
🎮 Video Game Adventures
⏳ Time Travel Missions
🧙 Wizards & Magic
🏝️ Survival & Adventure Stories
🕶️ Secret Agent Missions
🤖 AI & Robot Adventures
🧟 Zombie Comedies
👻 Spooky Mysteries & Haunted Houses
🎭 Fantasy Kingdoms & Epic Quests
🌎 Lost Worlds & Hidden Civilizations
🎬 Movie Trailer Challenges
🎤 Music Videos & Mockumentaries
📰 News Reporters & Documentary Filmmakers
No two weeks will be the same, and members will help choose future themes and story ideas!
Most importantly, Movie Makers Club gives kids the opportunity to make new friends, collaborate with other creative kids, and create brand-new stories every week. Every child will have a chance to contribute ideas, take on different filmmaking roles, and see their imagination come to life on screen.
As Movie Makers Club members, students will enjoy exclusive access to our filmmaking studio and all of our creative resources, including:
🎭 Costumes and props
💄 Special effects makeup and character creation materials
🏗️ Set-building supplies and creative production materials
📹 Professional camera equipment
💻 Video editing software and technology
🎬 Everything they need to bring their movie ideas to life
For less than the cost of many one-hour enrichment programs, students will enjoy a 2-hour creative studio experience every week, where they can create, collaborate, perform, direct, film, and edit alongside other young storytellers.
To ensure every child gets plenty of opportunities to participate, we're limiting each club to just 10 Members per session (summer, fall, and winter sessions.)
