What This Work Is All About
We’re exploring whether smaller, flexible, technology‑enabled community spaces could help bring health and care services closer to home. The aim is to understand where this approach could add real value and where it may not be the right fit.
Why We’re Exploring This
Health and care services across Wales are changing. New care models and digital tools are opening up fresh possibilities for how services are delivered.
Right now, many services remain tied to fixed sites, creating access challenges for some communities. This project is looking at whether a complementary, community‑based model could help overcome some of these barriers.
What’s Happened So Far
Phase 1 gathered early insight, community feedback, and design exploration to test initial feasibility.
This next phase now builds on that foundation, working with clinicians, policy leads, and NHS colleagues to sense‑check the direction before any decisions are made.
