Nau mai, haere mai, welcome!"Your Voice, Your Choice" is a free community day brought to you by Tiaho Trust (www.tiaho.org.nz • 09 430 3406) in collaboration with The Electoral Commission. Tania Bissett (Ngāpuhi/Ngāti Tūwharetoa), Ellie Ball and Elinor Niha (Ngāpuhi/Ngāti Hine) are organising this event alongside our local community, after hearing from many of our people that "just getting ready to vote can be a lot". It's about: getting ready to vote: enrolling, understanding how the process works and feeling confident about it.
It's not about: who to vote for, and we won't be promoting any party, candidate or political issue.
It's accessible by design but everyone is welcome. Whether you've never enrolled before, aren't sure your details are up to date, want it explained simply, or just want to come and connect with others. Expect NZSL interpreters, support people, a calm sensory space, kai, music (DJ Hotwheelz), arts and crafts (Liam and The Little Printmakers), and good company alongside the learning. Come and go as it suits you.
