About this Event
Your phone already does far more than most of us ever discover. In this hands-on session we will find the tools built into your device and learn how to use them, including scanning a document with the camera, translating a sign or a menu, having text read aloud, using the screen as a magnifier, measuring something without a tape measure, and setting up your medical details and emergency contacts.
We will also look at sharing your wi-fi without reading out the password, taming notifications, and a handful of free apps worth adding.
To switch on these features in the session, bring your phone or tablet and any passwords you may need.
