ABOUT GINETTE SUISSA:
Ginette Suissa was born in Casablanca, Morocco, where her lifelong passion for cooking began as one of eleven children in a bustling family home. From an early age, she learned the traditions, techniques, and flavors of Moroccan cuisine while helping prepare meals alongside her family. As she grew older, she assumed the responsibility of cooking for the entire household, developing the skills and confidence that would later become the foundation of her culinary career.
In 1965, Ginette immigrated to the United States, settling first in Boston, where she raised her family while continuing to share her love of Moroccan food with friends and guests. She later made Austin, Texas, her home and transformed her passion into a profession, teaching Moroccan cooking classes and catering authentic Moroccan celebrations and events. Renowned for her warmth, hospitality, and deep knowledge of Morocco's rich culinary heritage, Ginette has introduced countless students and diners to the vibrant flavors and traditions of her homeland.
