About this Event
The UK Parliament Outreach Team holds free sessions for anyone who wants to find out more about how the UK Parliament works, and how to get involved. The team's focus is on public education and the sessions are politically neutral.
UK Parliament makes laws, debates the issues of the day, and checks and challenges the work of government. UK Parliament affects everyone you know and everything you care about.
Join Damien, UK Parliament’s Outreach Officer in London, for this interactive workshop to discover how UK Parliament works and how you can get involved:
- What is the job of an MP?
- What does the House of Lords do?
- How do MPs and Lords raise issues on your behalf?
- How does UK Parliament check the work of the government?
This session is taking place in the heart of UK Parliament so you will get to sit where democracy happens and find out more through quizzes, discussions and other activities covering how UK Parliament works for you.
This event is aimed at adults interested in the work of UK Parliament.
You must have a ticket to attend this event.
There are limited places at this event and places are available on a first come, first served basis. If a waiting list is formed then this will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Places are non-transferable.
