What connects people to the Chesapeake—and why do those connections matter for its future?Join us for the next RPPC Speaker Series event featuring Wendy O’Sullivan, Superintendent of NPS Chesapeake Gateways. Wendy will share how the National Park Service’s Chesapeake Gateways connects communities and people throughout the Chesapeake watershed with nationally significant natural, recreational, historical, and cultural resources. She’ll also explore why people and places are critical to the vitality of the Chesapeake region and to the future of collaborative conservation.
Wendy leads and provides strategic support to a network of more than 300 partnership parks, refuges, trails, museums, communities, and watertrails across the 41-million-acre Chesapeake Bay watershed. She brings 28 years of National Park Service experience in park partnerships, community engagement, stewardship, and program management.
After the talk, stay for light refreshments and an opportunity to meet Wendy, ask questions, and continue the conversation.
All are welcome. Learn more at rolandparkchurch.org/speakerseries.
