Younger Than Me Berlin-based Younger Than Me is an old skool yet fresh-faced lover of the ‘90s and the revolutionary rave it produced.
Hailing from Italy and now making waves in Berlin, Younger Than Me, the musical identity of Francesco Mingrino, stands tall as a significant figure in electronic music. Noteworthy are his releases on renowned labels like Bordello A Parigi, XXX, Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno, and Warning Record.
In 2017, Younger Than Me founded the esteemed 90's Wax imprint, a platform that witnessed the birth of solo EPs and collaborations with influential artists like Skatebård, Francesco Farfa, and Timothy Clerkin. Simultaneously, his role as the art director and co-owner of Tusk Wax solidified his position in shaping the contemporary soundscape.
Masterfully blending '90s-influenced genres such as progressive house, trance, breakbeat, and jungle, Younger Than Me has become synonymous with the modern crossover of styles. His DJ sets, characterized by a playful yet forceful sound, have earned him a coveted residency at Milan's Tempio Del Futuro Perduto, as well as at Mess party in Paris, Macadam in Nantes, Jasna 1 in Warsaw, Khidi in Tbilisi, Ibout in Bordeaux, and he is a regular presence in the vibrant scenes of Mexico and Colombia. Notably, he has graced the iconic Berghain in Berlin, solidifying his international acclaim.
His recent album, "The Golden Age Of Love," serves as a testament to his diverse musical influences, featuring 10 solo tracks and collaborations with Pablo Bozzi, Massimiliano Pagliara, Brame & Hamo, and more. The album has earned critical acclaim within the electronic music community.
Beyond solo projects, Younger Than Me continues to captivate audiences with his old-school spirit and fresh-faced enthusiasm, solidifying his status as a visionary in the realm of electronic music.
