Product Development 101: Turning an Idea into a Product
Coming up with an idea is 1% of the work it takes to launch a product. So, what comes next?
This hour-long session is designed for entrepreneurs who have an idea but may not know what lies ahead. We’ll walk through the product development process, what to expect, and the different pathways you can take as you move from an idea toward development, production, and commercialization.
Led by Kyle Jansson, Mechanical Engineer, Inventor, and Entrepreneur, this session draws on 20 years of experience turning ideas into real products. We’ll discuss customer discovery, defining the right problem, design and prototyping, testing, design iterations, manufacturing, and the many decisions and lessons that happen along the way.
There is no single path to developing a successful product, but understanding the process can help you make better decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and know what questions to ask next.
Bring your idea, your questions, and your challenges, and come learn what it takes to move from an idea stated out loud to a product in the real world.
