Midwinter. The schools have finished, the Christmas market has closed, and the Yule-girth has been declared. Where else would you want to make merry but on the historic streets of York?
Join one of our Hidden Christmas walks this December as we explore the city's festive secrets. Our expert guides are like elves in a toyshop as they lead you on a seasonal stroll from the Castle to the Minster.
King Henry is in residence at the Castle, having an enormous banquet, whilst the Minster is either hosting a festive royal wedding or the Mistletoe Service. And in between we'll keep an eye out for Roman revellers, ice-skating Vikings and everyone's favourite festive treat, the Terry's Chocolate....Apple. Will your guide tell any terrible panto jokes? Oh yes, they will!
