About this Event
YOGA × CREATIVE WRITING FOR SOCIAL CHANGE
A space to untangle in an intimate setting… ☁️
A yoga and meditation practice that stills our busy minds and gently grounds us in the present moment. By slowing down, we reconnect with our mind & soul. We bring our awareness to social matters that spark something within to inspire positive change in the world.
Sophie guides a practice, inspiring us to drop the ego and turn our gaze to our internal landscapes. Focusing on a heart-opening theme, we will move through a guided meditation followed by some slow intentional movement. This practice is open to all levels; come as you are. You are welcome here.
Followed by a one-hour introduction to Creative Writing for Social Change, a heart-opening and inspiring workshop where we’ll explore how sharing stories through creative writing can build empathy, foster understanding, and actually shift the world around us. Andy will walk you through how to transform personal experiences into stories that connect people even across big divides.
This hands-on workshop mixes yoga, meditation, creative writing, and intercultural dialogue to boost your storytelling skills and global awareness.
You’ll learn how to:
⭐ Ground and connect to yourself amid the busyness of the everyday
⭐ Notice social issues that matter to you
⭐ Use empathy as your storytelling superpower
Sunday 20th September | 3–5 pm
