What is it?
A yoga class where the music doesn't come from a speaker.
George Damianos is present in the room, playing the handpan live throughout the entire class. He doesn't play pre-recorded or rehearsed pieces. Instead, he listens to the group, follows the breath and rhythm of the room, and allows the music to evolve alongside the practice: becoming more vibrant as we move and more spacious as the body settles.
That's why no two Wednesdays are ever quite the same.
The Handpan
A steel percussion instrument shaped like two joined domes, played with the hands. Its sound is melodic and resonant, somewhere between a bell and a drop of water.
When you hear it from just a metre away, rather than through headphones, you can feel its vibrations in your body, not just hear them with your ears.
What to Expect
We begin with breathing and gradually settle into the space.
We move into a flowing practice of postures, transitions and stretches, with the rhythm gradually building.
We work on balance, strength and flexibility, without chasing the “perfect” shape.
We finish with relaxation on the floor, where the music takes centre stage.

Who Is It For?
For anyone who wants to move and step out of their head in the middle of the week.
No previous yoga experience is needed. Every posture offers both gentler and more challenging variations, so you can choose what works for you.
If you already practise yoga, you'll discover a different experience of your practice, as live music transforms the way you move.

The Space
**FLAOUER HUB** is a movement and arts studio in the heart of Athens.
The studio covers 88 m², including a 60 m² tatami floor: a stable, warm surface, ideal for floor-based movement.
No mirrors. A maximum of ten participants per class, allowing everyone enough space and individual attention.
What to Bring
* Comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.
* Water.
* Nothing for your feet: we always practise barefoot on the tatami.
Please arrive 10 minutes early, especially if it's your first time.

Κάθε Τετάρτη στο Μοναστηράκι.
Το μάθημα καθοδηγεί η Μαρτίνα Κώστα Ντιάνκοβα. Η Μαρτίνα είναι δασκάλα κίνησης, χορεύτρια και χορογράφος. Δουλεύει με επαγγελματίες και ερασιτέχνες, έχει πλούσια εμπειρία διδασκαλίας σε άτομα όλων των ηλικιών, και γράφει το δικό της εγχειρίδιο για το πώς δομείται ένα μάθημα yoga για επαγγελματίες χορευτές και δασκάλους yoga.
Τι είναι;
Ένα μάθημα γιόγκα όπου η μουσική δεν βγαίνει από ηχείο. Ο Γιώργος Δαμιανός κάθεται μέσα στον χώρο και παίζει handpan για όλη τη διάρκεια του μαθήματος. Δεν παίζει έτοιμα κομμάτια. Ακούει την ομάδα, ακολουθεί την αναπνοή και τον ρυθμό της αίθουσας, και ο ήχος αλλάζει μαζί με το μάθημα: πιο ζωντανός όταν κινούμαστε, πιο αραιός όταν το σώμα ησυχάζει. Γι' αυτό καμία Τετάρτη δεν είναι ίδια με την προηγούμενη.
Το handpan
Ένα μεταλλικό κρουστό όργανο, σε σχήμα δύο ενωμένων θόλων, που παίζεται με τα χέρια. Ο ήχος του είναι μελωδικός και γεμάτος, κάτι ανάμεσα σε καμπάνα και σταγόνα νερού. Όταν τον ακούς από ένα μέτρο απόσταση, και όχι από ακουστικά, τον νιώθεις και στο σώμα, όχι μόνο στα αυτιά.
Πώς κυλάει το μάθημα;
Ξεκινάμε με αναπνοή και σιγά σιγά άφιξη στον χώρο.
Περνάμε σε ροή: στάσεις, μεταβάσεις, διατάσεις, με τον ρυθμό να ανεβαίνει σταδιακά.
Δουλεύουμε ισορροπία, δύναμη και ευλυγισία, χωρίς να κυνηγάμε τη «σωστή» εικόνα.
Κλείνουμε με χαλάρωση στο πάτωμα, όπου η μουσική παίρνει τον κύριο ρόλο.

Για ποιον είναι;
Για όποιον θέλει να κινηθεί και να βγει από το κεφάλι του στην μέση της εβδομάδας.
Δεν χρειάζεται εμπειρία στη γιόγκα. Κάθε στάση έχει πιο απλή και πιο απαιτητική εκδοχή, και διαλέγεις εσύ.
Αν κάνεις ήδη γιόγκα, θα βρεις μια διαφορετική εμπειρία της πρακτικής σου, γιατί η ζωντανή μουσική αλλάζει τον τρόπο που κινείσαι.
Κανένα άγχος, χωρίς κινητά, στον χρόνο σου.
Ο χώρος
Το FLAOUER HUB είναι στούντιο κίνησης και τεχνών στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. 88 τ.μ., από τα οποία τα 60 είναι τατάμι: σταθερό, ζεστό δάπεδο, ιδανικό για δουλειά στο έδαφος. Χωρίς καθρέφτες. Μέχρι δέκα άτομα στην αίθουσα, ώστε να υπάρχει χώρος για τον καθένα και προσοχή για τον καθένα.
Τι να φέρεις;
Άνετα ρούχα που σε αφήνουν να κινηθείς.
Νερό.
Τίποτα για τα πόδια: στο τατάμι είμαστε πάντα ξυπόλητοι.
Έλα 10 λεπτά νωρίτερα, ειδικά την πρώτη φορά.
