Join us in Huron Hall for Yoga Nidra with April! This is a free, relaxing program for adults. Registration is strongly encouraged and walk-ins are also welcome.
Yoga Nidra is a guided practice of deep rest and relaxation designed to support physical, mental, and emotional health. This guided meditation practice helps reduce stress, improve sleep, and restore balance to the nervous system. It is a tool for inner exploration, self-discovery and emotional balance. A typical session lasts about 30- 40 minutes and involves breath awareness, body scanning, intention setting and visualization. Please arrive on time for this program. Doors close at 6:35!
Yoga Nidra does not require any poses and can be practiced laying down, sitting in a chair, or while sitting on the ground supported by a wall.

Please dress comfortably and bring a mat, cushions or bolsters for under your head, knees or back, a light blanket and an eye pillow or light covering. Any props that will allow you to build a cozy rest nest for the practice. Because we create a quiet space, attendees must arrive on time and if you are more than 5 minutes late you will not be able to join and will need to come back next time.
This program is led by April McGinnis, who is a trained Yoga Nidra facilitator with several years of personal practice and leading experience. If you have any questions about this program or need special accomodations, please email Susie at [email protected].
