About this Event
Yoga Nidra, often called "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that leads you into the fertile space between waking and sleeping — a state where the body rests as deeply as it would in slumber, while the mind remains softly, receptively aware. Each 60-minute session is held entirely in stillness: you lie down, get comfortable, and are guided by voice alone — supported by the resonant tones of singing bowls — through a structured practice of body awareness, breath, and visualization.
There's no physical exertion, no poses to hold. What's asked of you instead is presence. Over the course of an hour, the sound and the voice work together to draw your attention systematically through the body, layer by layer — helping you notice the difference between what you think you feel and what is actually there. This is the heart of yoga nidra's transformative power: it recalibrates your relationship to your own body, both the internal landscape (sensation, breath, nervous system state) and the external one (how you hold yourself in space, how you move through the world afterward).
