About this Event
Yin & Pin
Bringing together yin yoga and acupuncture - two powerful modalities that work harmoniously to calm the body, quiet the mind and support healing. This two hour workshop is designed to gently guide you into a state of deep rest.

In Traditional Chinese theory, health depends on the smooth, balanced flow of qi (vital life energy) through a network of pathways through the body called meridians.
Both yin yoga and traditional chinese acupuncture work on the body’s meridians to regulate the flow of qi. The longer held postures of yin open the channels whilst the acupuncture points fine-tune and deepen the energetic flow.
__
Yin is a slow, meditative practice where postures are held for longer periods of time and supported with lots of props. This allows the body to soften without effort, gently targeting the deeper connective tissues while encouraging stillness and awareness.
Acupuncture is a traditional healing modality that uses very fine needles placed in specific points in the body to support balance and qi. Within this restful setting, acupuncture helps calm the nervous system and deepen the body’s ability to relax and restore.
Various acupuncture points will be performed on each guest whilst they are gently held by the yin postures.
