A woman’s yearning for a child becomes an all-consuming obsession in Lorca’s haunting tragedy. Barry Nielsen’s new translation of this Spanish classic, completing the trilogy along with his acclaimed versions of 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙖 𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙖 and 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 , is raw, poetic and devastatingly powerful. A visceral story of desire, repression and the shattering consequences of unfulfilled longing.
