Why do victims stay in abusive relationships, and what can we do to help them break the cycle?
Join us on Wednesday, November 11, for our monthly Yellowstone County Mental Health Alliance (YCMHA) Provider Meet-Up featuring Lily Aimone of Montana Domestic Violence Railroad, as she presents "The Cycle That Leads to Pain."
Domestic violence impacts far more than physical safety. It can have lasting effects on mental health, relationships, and a person's ability to recognize and escape patterns of abuse.
During this month's presentation, Lily will share the work of Montana Domestic Violence Railroad and explore:
🔹 The psychological dynamics of abuse and why victims may stay or return to abusive relationships
🔹 The impact of domestic violence on the mental health of women and children
🔹 The critical role mental health services play in helping survivors heal and rebuild their lives
🔹 How professionals and community members can recognize warning signs and better support those experiencing domestic violence
Beyond the presentation, our monthly meet-ups are an opportunity to connect with fellow mental health and wellness professionals, exchange ideas, strengthen referral relationships, and build a more connected community of care.
