The Yawanawa had such a powerful experience in Sedona last year, that these sacred lands have called them back- and this time, they’re bringing Chief Nixiwaka. He will be joined by his wife and spiritual leader Putanny, along with Peu and Ykashahu Yawanawa. This is an event not to be missed!Join us for an incredibly intimate evening at Cielo Connection (new location) where the tribe will share the sacred medicine of rapéh while transmitting the essence of their culture and people through stories and song.
🌿 What is rapéh? Rapéh is a sacred ceremonial snuff from the Amazon. It is made by pulverizing jungle tobacco into a powder during ceremonial prayer. The powdered tobacco is often mixed with the ashes of other medicinal plants. Specifically, the Yawanawa people work with tsunu. It is administered into the nostrils through a pipe called a tepi from one person to another, or a self-serve pipe called a kuripe. This medicine is used to bring focus and grounding, clear energy, work with the pineal gland and bring clarity and grounding.
