Y1: Gala + Games Experience 2027

One night. A full year of support.

Right here in Lethbridge, too many kids face their most formative years without the community, mentorship, and support they need. At Y1 we believe every young person deserves someone in their corner. You can help flip the script.

At the Gala & Games, every game you play, every auction item you bid on, and every youth you sponsor helps give a young person a full year of support at Youth One. That's a year of discovering what they're truly capable of and growing into confident young adults with the tools they need to thrive. Since 2014, Youth One has been there for thousands of local youth, and this is your chance to be the reason the next one has someone in their corner.

This year, we aim to raise $125,000. These funds will provide 83 individual youth with full access to Youth One for an entire year through our Launch Forward Initiative.

For every $1,500 collectively given, one youth receives a full school year of access to daily meals, after-school programs, support services, mentorship, and more.

This year, we are creating a new way to represent Youth sponsorships throughout the night. The levels of commitment will remain largely the same, but stay tuned for the exciting new updates! Rest assured that regardless of the commitment, you will recieve a keepsake to take home representing your support for these youth.

• For every $125 you give, it represents one month of sponsorship for a youth to attend Youth One.
• For every $125/month recurring donation you give, it represents one year of sponsorship for a youth to attend Youth One.

• For every $1,500 you give, it represents one full year of sponsorship for a youth.
• For every $6,000 you give, it represents one year of sponsorship for four youth to attend Youth One.

TD has been a long-standing local partner in supporting youth and families through Youth One. Their ongoing investment and involvement have helped provide prevention-based programs, daily meals, and vital support services for thousands of youth in our community. TD’s commitment to building stronger, more connected communities continues to make a lasting impact. We’re proud to have TD again as our 2027 Title Sponsor and a valued partner in empowering the next generation.

Founded in 2014 in Lethbridge, Youth One was established to address a major gap in many communities: the need for prevention and mentorship-based programs during out-of-school hours with no financial barrier. In Lethbridge, 1 in every 5 youth grows up in a low-income setting. In Canada, 1 in every 2 youth grows up without a mentor or role model in their life. This lack of support can lead to an increased risk of outcomes such as substance abuse, crime, mental health issues, and school dropout rates.

Research shows that even one positive role model in a young person’s life can dramatically reduce these risks. That’s why we are committed to making sure no youth has to face life’s challenges alone. We believe that when youth are supported to reach their full potential, the future health of our community improves.

Since its inception, Youth One has helped thousands of youth through after-school drop-in programs, support groups, leadership training, food services, life skills development, and more.
