Carnegie Hall presents the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra on Friday, December 4, 2026, at 7 p.m., for its annual Sounds of the Season holiday candlelit performance. Guests are invited to come early for the free Club Carnegie Preshow Reception from 6 – 6:45 p.m. in the Board Room located adjacent to the Hamilton Auditorium. A cash bar and snacks are available.Celebrate the season with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Maurice Cohn, as it returns to Carnegie Hall for another sparkling evening of holiday pops favorites. Now in its 86th season, the WVSO continues to serve as a cornerstone of West Virginia’s performing arts community—bringing high‑quality classical and pops concerts to audiences statewide, fostering meaningful collaborations with local arts organizations, and inspiring young musicians through its award‑winning education programs. This year’s holiday program, part of the ZMM Architects and Engineers Pops Series, features festive classics, beloved orchestral showpieces, and joyful surprises that capture the magic of the season. The WVSO performance is presented with support from ZMM Architects and Engineers, with additional funding provided by the James F. B. Peyton Fund and The Daywood Foundation.
