An annual pottery sale to benefit the Weber Cares Food pantry on the Weber State University Campus.
Mark your calendar for the 5th Annual Empty Bowls Event to raise money for the Weber Cares Food Pantry! This sale includes handmade pottery bowls, made by area potters, and other items such as planters, plates and mugs (mostly bowls). This year, the event will take place at the Monarch on 25th Street as part of the First Friday Art Stroll. Refreshments will be served. Live music will be happening at the Monarch. It will be a great time! You must obtain a ticket to purchase a bowl. Tickets will be available at the entrance to the event (credit card and Venmo accepted). Tickets start at $20 (donation). Additional donations accepted.
The Food Security Survey of Higher Education lists food insecurity at WSU as 37.3%. The Hope Center at Temple University lists a national food insecurity prevalence among college students at 40%. Food insecurity is an issue for many WSU students. Your pottery purchase helps. This is a non profit event. We appreciate your support!
