Bring whatever you’re working on and come write with us.
Open Co-Writing is the unstructured side of the From Her Corner Writer’s Living Room — two quiet, cozy hours set aside simply to write in community. Bring your journal, laptop, poetry, novel, homework, morning pages, half-finished idea, or whatever else you’d like to spend some time with.
There is no guided session and no required sharing. A small collection of optional writing prompts will always be available if you need somewhere to begin, but otherwise, the time is yours.
Grab a seat at the writing table or settle into the lounge, make yourself a cup of coffee or tea, put your headphones on if you’d like, and write a while.
What to expect:
- Two hours of open, self-directed writing time
- Communal writing tables + cozy lounge seating
- Optional writing prompts
- Complimentary coffee + tea
You do not have to consider yourself a writer to come. If you have something you want to put on the page, you belong here.
Open Co-Writing is open to all genders.

By entering the From Her Corner Writer’s Living Room, you agree to help care for the space and the people in it. Be kind, respectful, and mindful. Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, or harmful speech will not be tolerated. If you share writing that includes sensitive material, please offer a brief content or trigger warning first. Respect privacy. Do not photograph, record, post, or share another person’s writing or story without permission. Respect the space. Please do not touch personal belongings, displayed writing, office materials, décor, storage, or supplies unless they are clearly intended for community use. If you’re unsure, ask. Clean up after yourself. Return shared supplies, dispose of trash, and take your belongings with you. The complimentary coffee + tea bar is for guests participating in scheduled writing sessions. From Her Corner reserves the right to ask anyone who disregards these guidelines or disrupts the space to leave.
Treat this space like someone’s living room — because it is.
