About this Event
Give yourself 4 hours to focus on your writing, meet other creatives, and experience an open mic with The Art Meetup.
Join us at BKLYN Commons for a writers’ development workshop, an open mic, and a community clothing drive. Bring a notebook or writing device. You’re welcome to take part in the workshop and listen during the open mic without performing.
You don’t need to be an experienced writer, have a portfolio, or know exactly what you want to create. Come ready to explore your ideas and spend an afternoon with people making room for their creativity.
The Art Meetup brings together a diverse community of NYC artists and creative professionals, centering Black, Brown, Latino, and LGBTQ+ creatives while welcoming people across backgrounds and experience levels.
