As part of the Sofala 50th Annual Show Celebration Weekend, we're bringing everyone together for an epic attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people gold panning simultaneously.
Whether you're an experienced prospector, a complete beginner, a local, a visitor, a family or just someone who wants to be part of something a little bit special, we want you there!

📝 Registration opens: 10:00 am
🥇 World record attempt starts: 12:00 midday
We'll need hundreds of people taking part at the same time to give Sofala the best possible chance of setting a new world record.
So grab your family, mates, gold pan and hat and get yourself to Sofala!
The more people we have, the bigger the record!

No worries!
We'll have people around to help you get started. Gold panning is easy to learn, great fun and suitable for all ages.
And who knows... you might even find a little bit of the yellow stuff while you're at it! ✨
