Join us at Stone State Park for a celebration of fall migration! Local birding experts will lead guided hikes through the park, sharing their knowledge and helping participants spot and identify the birds passing through the area. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience or are unable to hike, a Bird Sit will offer a comfortable opportunity to sit, observe, and enjoy the birds around you. Whether you’re an experienced birder or have never picked up a pair of binoculars, everyone is welcome (kids too!). Meet at the Pammel Valley Shelter. Afterwards, stop by the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center for lunch! They will be serving free Dutch Oven cooking samples from 11am to 2pm. These events are part of the Sioux City Fall Fest.This program is sponsored by the Loess Hills Audubon Society and Woodbury County Conservation.
