A special edition of Calm Circles: a safe, non-judgemental space for open conversations to support mental health and connect with community.
About this Event

Theme: Lived Experiences Heard

In line with the global theme for World Mental Health Day, this edition of Calm Circles will feature a panel of speakers sharing their lived experiences around mental health.

Afterwards, you will have a chance to share and listen to others’ lived experiences with mental health in intimate circles.

Sharing lived experiences around mental health is one of the ways we can destigmatize mental health, reduce feelings of loneliness, and strengthen our resilience as a community.

Guided by trained facilitators, you will:

  • Experience personal connection with the Calm Collective community
  • Share your thoughts and experiences in a safe, no-judgement zone (everyone is welcome)
  • Learn from each other's experiences
  • Deepen your listening and empathy skills

Light snacks will be provided.
* Disclaimer: Calm Circles are not a replacement for any existing or ongoing therapy or any professional mental health care.

Hear from our past participants:

“Calm Circles is a great space for people who need the human touch to come and connect, especially during this time when we need to be kind to ourselves and each other.”

“I was also very encouraged and pleasantly surprised at what an authentic and respectful conversation about feelings we can have with strangers in an Asian context.”

“I liked that it was an open and affirming space! It allowed everyone to share some things in their personal life that they recognised as points of pain and learning. The sharing also made it such a precious space of growth.”

Late arrival policy:

We kindly request all participants to arrive on time for the session, as late arrivals may disrupt any ongoing discussions. If you will be more than 20 minutes late, we suggest attending the next scheduled Calm Circles to ensure that you get the most out of the session without causing any inconvenience.
