Open to practitioners of ALL styles of Karate. Whether your background is Okinawan, Japanese, Korean-influenced, traditional, modern, or somewhere in between, you are welcome to come train, share, and celebrate with us.
World Karate Day was declared by the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly in 2005. October 25 commemorates the historic 1936 gathering of Okinawan karate masters where the name “Karate” 空手 (meaning “empty hand”) was formally adopted, helping shape the identity of the art as we know it today.
Our Gasshuku is an opportunity to honor that history in the best way possible: by getting on the floor and training together.
