World Deadlift Council's 2026 World Deadlift Championships
This year deadlifts are:
1. Trap (Hex) Bar
2. Viking deadlift
3. Conventional Deadlift
On: Saturday 28th November
Location: Fitness @ The Street Gym
Brooms Marina, Brundall
Please Access the gym via Station Road NOT Brayedston Avenue
Weigh In: 9am
Start: 10am
Finish time approx 3.30pm-5pm
Entry fee: £65 for all 3 events
Order of lifting
1. Trap (Hex) Bar
2. Viking Deadlift
3. Conventional Deadlift
Or Entry fee for single event is £36
Winners will receive a Trophy 🏆 , if doing all 3 lifts you will receive 1 larger trophy.
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY:
Please contact us if interested in participating with your Full Name, weight class & age category. along with confirmation of lifts. we will then send you bank details to pay in full - £65 for 3 lifts (or £36 for single lift)
Payment confirms your place & once entered & paid, monies are nonrefundable.
If you would like a t-shirt. It is an additional cost of £25, with choice of athlete name on back & colour. This will need to be ordered before 31st October to ensure delivrry before the event
Parking 🚗 is available near gym and a nearby carpark, there will be a parking attendant on site to help.
Spectators are free. 😀
Protein bars and drinks are available to buy on site.
Toilets are available at the gym .
EVENT
Lifters get 4 attempts to reach their best lift. During each attempt they get a maximum of 2 retries, with max 30 secs rest between each retry.
LIFTING
Strongman rules apply: Hitching, Sliding, Resting on thighs all allowed. At finish of deadlift Athlete must stand straight shoulders square, knees locked. How they get to that finish position is up to them, its all in extreme strongman rules NOT IPF POWERLIFTING.
EQUIPMENT
WDC is any extreme lifting sport
1: All super suits, all materials all plys.
2: Knee wraps all materials all lengths required.
3: All ply elbow and knee sleeves
4: Lifting straps all kinds including 8's. No metal hook straps
5: Wrist wraps all materials all lengths.
6: All chalk and talc no resin tacky.
