Explore technique, musicality, connection, and improvisation through three unique tango workshops.
Workshop 1
Saturday, December 12 · 1:00–2:30 PM
Rhythmic Structures with Steps and Glides in Circular Dynamics
Technical and musical tools that help us become more precise when performing linear or circular steps. We will work on spiral dissociation, balance, and weight transfer—key elements for executing steps and glides in a natural, harmonious, and safe way.
Workshop 2
Saturday, December 12 · 2:45–4:15 PM
Rebounds in Linear and Circular Dynamics in Parallel and Crossed Systems
Tango is more than just a dance; it is a profound conversation between two souls, a dialogue of passion, devotion, and technique. Within this intense communication, the different dynamics and possibilities offered by the bounce are magical—a flash of elegance that reflects not only the skill of the dancer or milonguero, but also their ability to feel and connect with their partner and the space through the music.
Workshop 3
Saturday, December 12 · 4:30–6:00 PM
TANGO NUEVO: From Natural Movement to a Lively, Fluid Dance
A workshop exploring new movement possibilities through the foundations of traditional tango.
We begin with simple, natural movements to explore axis, dissociation, spirals, weight transfer, and connection. As the workshop progresses, these elements develop into greater dynamics, changes of direction, and new ways of moving through space.
A technical yet playful exploration where movement becomes more expansive, dynamic, and free, developing connection, freedom, and enjoyment through improvisation.
From natural movement to expansion. From traditional tango to new possibilities.
