Transform ideas and texts into performance experiments with multidisciplinary art Adam Kinner.
About this Event

Poem / Performance
with Adam Kinner
Tuesday, November 3, 6:00pm-9:00pm
Intrepid Studio (2-1609 Blanshard St.)
$30

About the workshop:

In this workshop, participants will use a simple writing score to transform ideas and texts into poetic fragments. These fragments, shared in different ways among the group, will then form the basis of short performance experiments. Performance makers of all kinds will find a technique for opening up their practice and producing new, surprising material that they can take with them.

About the facilitator:

Adam Kinner (he/him) is a performance maker who works between choreography, in situ performance, and music. He is interested in scores and voice, and often works collaboratively and in conceptually-driven processes. His work MANUAL, co-created with Christopher Willes, which includes local performers as it tours, has been presented extensively at festivals across Asia, Canada, the UK and Europe.
