Join local jeweller Jules Read for a hands-on workshop at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and create your very own stunning, custom-fit sterling silver ring. Whether you prefer a piece that is beautifully stamped, richly textured, or elegantly plain, the design choice is entirely yours.
This workshop proudly coincides with the Hawkesbury Now Exhibition, where select jewellery pieces handcrafted by Jules will also be available for purchase at the gallery shop.
All sterling silver materials & tools provided. Suitable for adults and teens 15+.
$150 – BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL (Includes light refreshments)
This beginner-friendly class guides you through the foundational techniques of silversmithing. You will walk away with a perfectly fitted ring and a wealth of new skills, including:
· Sizing & Cutting: Measuring your finger and using a jeweler's saw
· Forming & Shaping: Manipulating metal into a perfect band
· Soldering: Using a torch to permanently join your ring
· Texturing & Stamping: Personalising your piece with unique designs
· Finishing: Filing, sanding, and polishing your ring to a beautiful shine.
What to Bring & Wear
For your safety and comfort in the workshop/Gallery, please ensure you come prepared with:
· Closed-in shoes (required)
· Hair tied back securely
· An apron or dark clothing (the polishing process can get a little messy!)

TERMS and CONDITIONS:
- SMILE! Gallery events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers.
- If you do not wish your image (or the image of your child) to be published, please notify staff before the event.
- If you are unable to attend, please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate in the program.
- Do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell.
- Paid tickets are not transferable.
- Cancellation/refund polices paid tickets:
- To receive a full refund (minus an admin fee of session cost), please cancel your ticket or notify the gallery before 48 hours of the scheduled event. If less notice is given, a refund will not be issued.
- Refunds will not be given if participants change their mind, or simply forget to attend the event. For exceptional circumstances, refunds may be issued at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
- A refund can take up to 7 working days to process after the event date (due to bank transfer times). Cash payment refunds can take up to 6 weeks to process.
