Is your home furnished with the same IKEA pieces as everyone else? When was the last time you actually built something that you had the idea for? This workshop is for anyone who wants to create something with their own hands and connect with their inner carpenter.

This workshop is a prerequisite to use the space (open workshop), Intermediates workshop or becoming a member.

Welcome to the Woodwork Academy! In this beginners' course, we will introduce you to the tools in our workshop and give you the opportunity to complete a project of your own design.
With the help of WWA teachers, you will take your idea from concept to completion alongside a group of participants. The workshop includes time to conceptualize and draft your own idea. You can create anything from small tables, to nightstands, to laptop stands, to meditation seats. Anything you can create within the workshop schedule with the materials given and beginner’s skill level is possible! Throughout the workshop, we will help you create your ideal piece and you’ll finish the class with your own self-built piece of furniture.
In addition, you will be introduced to working with machines -- table saw, bandsaw, mitre (drop saw), press drills, and sanders -- along with a range of other equipment in the workshop. You will be able to safely use them for your own projects after this workshop.
This workshop will be held in English.
What is included
- 8/9 hour course
- Materials (leimholzplatte kiefer 124x30x1,8cm) tools, and everything required to finish your piece
- Creation of your own design (with some material, skill, and time limitations, you can bring your ideas, and be flexible to change them in case that can't be done in the space time and machines we can use)
- Use of the space and machines to make your own projects

What's the refund policy?
Free cancellation/change of date of your order is possible until 7 days before the workshop/course starts. No refunds for cancellations will be issued within 7 days of the workshop/course. Cancellations will result in a loss of 100% of the ticket price or cancelled voucher. In case of illness, doctor's certificates are required for a full refund or a change of date.
Woodwork Academy can cancel the workshop at any given time. In this case, participants will receive an email or phone call, so they can decide between a full refund*** for the workshop, or a change of dates. In case of a refund, materials will not be charged.
When a workshop - that you registered for via gift card - is cancelled, you will receive back your gift card ready to use it again, but not a refund.
***A FULL REFUND WILL ONLY BE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE NEXT 5 WORKING DAYS AFTER THE EVENT, AFTER THAT TIME ONLY A CHANGE OF DATES WILL BE POSSIBLE, FOR MAXIMUM PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS.
