About this Event
During this interactive session with Emma Castledine, (Person-Centred Counsellor, qualified EMDR Practitioner and Supervisor, and former CEO and Clinical Lead of a Counselling Centre) practioners will:
- Begin to build awareness of the differences between Allistic/neurotypical and neurodivergent clients.
- To identify some of the areas of consideration when working with neurodivergent clients.
- Consider some emerging themes when working with neurodivergent people.
- Begin to explore ways to work in a nuerodivergent affirming way.
Bio
Emma Castledine is a qualified neurodivergent therapist, supervisor, and trainer/teacher, and one of the founders of THINK Neurodivergent UK.
Her work combines lived experience and professional expertise, creating affirming therapeutic and training spaces where neurodivergent people feel understood, respected, and supported.
She is an accredited Person-Centred Counsellor, qualified EMDR Practitioner and Supervisor, and former CEO and Clinical Lead of a Counselling Centre in the South of England. She has also taught formal counselling qualifications as a qualified teacher.
With 25 years’ experience across a wide range of settings Lived experience of neurodivergence, she offers counselling for those newly diagnosed, self-identified, or currently diagnosed as neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed in an approach committed to safe, accessible, reflective spaces for neurodivergent clients and therapists.
The workshops runs from 10.00am - 4.00pm with breaks, and attendees will gain 5 hours CPD and will be issued with a certificate.
