Workforce Action Summit: Advancing Regional Talent Strategies

Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC), in partnership with Snohomish STEM Network, is excited to announce the Workforce Action Summit: Advancing Regional Talent Strategies, presented by The Boeing Company, Kaiser Permanente, Optum, and Premera Blue Cross, taking place Wednesday, November 18 at Hotel Indigo Seattle Everett Waterfront.

Snohomish County's aerospace and advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and maritime industries are growing fast, and the workforce pipelines feeding them are under real pressure. Employers know the gaps. Training providers know the pathways. Industry associations connect employer needs with training pipelines within their sector. But rarely does everyone see the full picture together, in the same room, at the same time.

The Workforce Action Summit changes that.

See how the local workforce ecosystem fits together today. Help name what's working and what isn't.

• See the system. An introduction to our region's workforce partners and how they fit into the talent pipelines across all three priority industries.
• Fill in the picture. A facilitated table discussion to surface what stood out and what's missing, with people who see the pipeline from different angles than you do.
• Hear from industry. Panels with employers, training providers, and industry associations on what's needed and what's coming next.
• Open the door to follow-up. A closing action item to engage with the partner organizations you'd like to hear more from, so the right conversations continue after November 18.

The right person isn't always the most senior person. We want people in the room who understand the work firsthand and can help identify what's working, what's missing, and where stronger connections are needed.

We especially encourage participation from manufacturers, aerospace suppliers, hospitals and clinics, behavioral and allied health providers, shipyards and marine trades employers, ports, apprenticeship programs, community and technical colleges, universities, K-12 CTE programs in these sectors, and industry associations are all encouraged to attend.

The room is intentionally built to reflect the employers, educators, workforce partners, and industry associations connected to these priority talent pipelines. Organizations may send up to 4 attendees.

This is Year 1 of a multi-year initiative: see the system, then close the gaps. Year 1 maps how the pipelines work and names where they don't. Future years build on what surfaces here.
