There is something special about the words that find us at just the right time — a passage in a book, a poem that stirs something within us, a journal entry that captures what we couldn’t quite put into words ourselves, or a simple quote that stays with us long after we’ve read it.
Words That Move Us is a relaxed monthly gathering to come together over tea and share the words that have touched, inspired, comforted, challenged, or awakened something within.
Bring a favourite poem, a passage from a beloved book, a journal reflection, a meaningful quote, or even a few words of your own. You’re equally welcome to come simply to listen, enjoy a cup of tea, and discover the words others carry close to their hearts.
There’s no pressure to perform, no expectation to be a writer, and no need to have anything prepared. Just a welcoming space for beautiful words, thoughtful conversation, and the simple joy of connecting through the things that move us.
WHEN: The last Sunday of each month, beginning November 29, 2026
TIME: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
WHERE: Illuminated Journeys Sacred Space, downtown Vernon, BC
WHAT TO BRING: A favourite poem, book passage, journal entry, meaningful quote, or words of your own to share — if you feel called. Tea and good company await.
REGISTRATION:
Pre-registration is preferred, although drop-ins are welcome.
